Family history of cardiomyopathy
- Life Cover – HSBC will offer standard rate decisions, increase to the premium or be unable to provide a quote.
- Critical Illness Cover & TPD – HSBC are unable to provide a quote.
There are some rules that apply across all applicants with a family history of cardiomyopathy – that would not result in HSBC being able to offer Life Cover at the current time. Such as:
- Not having any investigations due to the family history.
- Being aged under 30.
- No Echocardiogram or heart scan in last 5 years.
This is a general guide and is not a guarantee of acceptance.
NB The decision will vary based on the age of the applicant and the age of the family history was diagnosed.
